Growing up amongst a family of actors, singers & musicians, it was essentially in the cards for Theis to equally pursue an artistic career.

But finding himself too impatient to practice instruments, and after being gifted an Olympus Mju II, Theis fell completely in love with photography, and how it gave him an immediate creative output.

Since graduating from the Danish school of Media and Journalism, with a degree in Photographic Communication, he has then shared his distinct photographic craft with clients and collaborators.

Theis’ photography navigates the fields of conceptual still life, lifestyle product and gastronomy, and delicately balances each field of work with a collective detail-oriented and vibrant aesthetic. In both the commercial, editorial and art arena, Theis takes a meticulous, experimental and personal approach to each project, and one of his signature traits is his unique eye for shaping light, and combining colours, textures and elements for a strong crisp output.

Theis’ portfolio holds a variety of diverse clients such as Carlsberg, Royal Copenhagen, DBU, Libratone, Telmore and Space10. Theis has published multiple books under the group-alias ‘Planetarisk Kogebog’, and you can likewise regularly spot his work in Politiken.
