Lyders.
With a natural curiosity and openness about other people’s stories and backgrounds, and a deep fascination with the poetry of light and its ability to shape a frame, photography became the natural path and career for Emil Lyders.
Driven by a desire to create images that reflect the energy that emerges when people come together, Emil creates atmospheric visual storytelling. This is reflected in carefully composed scenes, or in simple portraits where the moment is held in the gaze.
His images balance simplicity and depth, where subtle moments carry the most weight—grounded in presence and human connection.
Based in Copenhagen, he works across both editorial and commercial commissions, alongside other entrepreneurial projects—among them a mustard company he co-founded, which, somewhat unexpectedly, grew out of the people and connections photography brought into his life. A natural extension of a mindset where curiosity, imagination, and the desire to create something meaningful with others are at the core.
Emil holds a degree in Photographic Communication from the Danish School of Media and Journalism (2014) and has built extensive experience in visual communication for brands and magazines. Alongside his commercial work, he also continues to teach and mentor future photographers.
