Plug Life marks Sebastian Lopez’s first film for a major international brand. The 25-year-old screenwriter and director truly kickstarted his career in 2024 when he released his first commercial, which went viral on social media, gained international recognition, and earned him two nominations at The trueaward.

Since his debut, he has managed to develop a unique and recognizable style while still surprising audiences with the content of his films.

For his Red Bull film, the young FERN director drew inspiration from Quentin Tarantino’s Django, one of his personal favorites.

He states:

“I love mixing genres, and this time the goal was to see what a Tarantino-inspired Mexican standoff scene would look like if played by a couple of 24-year-old Danes in 2025. I love the result and am thrilled to see my style and humor resonate with viewers, who have received this film better than anything else I’ve made so far. It gives me the confidence to bring more of my crazy ideas to life.”
