Tammes Bernstein works across campaign films, AI-film, fiction and documentary, constantly exploring new technologies as creative tools to expand and elevate visual storytelling.
He is known for a distinctive cinematic voice that blends bold ideas with a subtle, offbeat sense of humor – leaning into the bittersweet, the slightly skewed, and the emotionally honest. His films often orbit intimate moments and human relationships, told with visual precision and a clear, personal creative signature.
Before moving fully into filmmaking, Tammes built his career as an art director at agencies including AKQA Paris, working with global brands such as Nike, Chanel, Martell, Hermès and Red Bull.
He later graduated as a film director from the prestigious National Film and
Television School (NFTS) in the UK, where his graduation film was shortlisted for a BAFTA Student Film Award.
In 2025, Tammes made his feature debut with the documentary The Sound of Love Letters (Kærestebreve fra Thy), produced with support from the Danish Film Institute and DR. The film has been selected for CPH:DOX 2025 and Nordic Panorama 2025, where it is also nominated for the New Nordic Voice Award.
